Comparison and Validation of Bioactive flavonoids by Reverse Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatography in Crataegus Species Related to Pharmaceutical Crataegus Product

The use of Crataegus species for the treatment cardiovascular ailments is widely distributed. Even then only a few are included in Pharmacopoeias. In this study bioactive flavonoids azarolus and pallasii were identified quantified comparison with well-known pharmaceutical product Crataegus; Crataegutt® Tropfen using reverse phase-high performance liquid chromatography. method developed simple, fast, reliable sensitive. an attempt to reduce matrix effect prior high chromatography analysis, novel approach proposed as efficient simple clean-up technique termed “indirect-dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction”. Validation parameters calculated follows: Limit detection ranged from 0.4 3.4 mg/g limit quantitation 1.3 11.3 mg/g, intraday interday precision expressed percentage relative standard deviation 1.0 2.8 1.5 4.3, respectively r2 values above 0.9950 all analytes. recovery analytes was more than 98 %. Four predominate peaks certified standards Vitexin 2''-O-rhamnoside, rutin, vitexin hyperoside, mass concentration (% w/w) 4.4 %, 2.9 1.7 % 2.6 1.4 4.8 1.6 0.6 respectively. Thus, met criteria United States Pharmacopeia European monographs. Our investigations postulate that could be good source production phytomediciness.
